Devauden has an established Ash tree in the allotment area of the Village, that was recently pollarded due to saftey concerns.
Rather than chopping down and removing the tree Devauden Community Council are seeking donations so that the tree, which has a prominent position, can be sculptured and create a public artwork for the benefit of the village and those passing through. It was also felt that keeping the tree benefits the local biodiversity.
The council has managed to secure some donations, and are looking for additional money from locals and businesses who would be interested in helping with this for the benefit of village.
